This BIG, colourful, Bone China mug is both visually and mentally stimulating with its annotated illustration of the Solar System. Great for revision and brightening up your desk - it's just a shame you can't sneak it into a science exam!

Under each planet description is listed its diameter, distance from the Sun and the number of orbiting moons it has (or its orbital period in the case of Venus and Mercury, which have no moon!). Also included is the diameter, rotational period and surface temperature of the Sun - That's enough information to keep you busy for quite a while!

McLaggan Smith Mugs is a family-run business based in Jameston, only a couple of miles from the shores of Loch Lomond in the West of Scotland. Established by Willy Smith in 1974, the company is now run by his wife Camille and daughter Polly.

They may only be a small team, but their drive and determination has made their business extremely popular and successful. They have 20 fantastic hard working employees printing and decorating the mugs in Scotland. Every week they dispatch hundreds of mugs all over the UK. They even have customers throughout Europe and as far as the Falkland Islands and Japan. (It's great to say we are one of them!)
